Car & Van Hire - Ljubljana City Centre

All additional drivers must meet all hire requirements. All additional drivers must appear at the hire counter and present their driving licence. Additional drivers can be added to the contract at any hire location within the same country and at any time during the hire. An additional driver fee of 6 EUR per day applies. The maximum fee is 60.00 EUR.

After Hours Pickups: Our counter will be manned to accommodate after hours pickups. At the time of reservation the airline flight number will be required. This service is on request and a minimum advance notice of 48 hours is required. Please call reservations at +386 30208890 for further information. There is a fee for after hours service between 23:00 and 07:00 of 30.00 EUR inclusive of VAT.
After Hours Returns: Please park the vehicle in the Airport Rent A Car parking lot and drop the vehicle key in the drop box located at the rental counter in the main terminal. Customers are free to drop vehicles outside the opening hours without a member of staff being present. The vehicle will be inspected by an employee the next business day and customers will receive a confirmation after the vehicle has been checked-in. If a customer wishes for a member of staff to be present during return outside the opening hours between 11pm and 7am, an afterhours service charge of 30.00 EUR including VAT will apply. Customers should notify a member of staff at time of pick up if they wish to make use of this service.

Minimum age for all car groups is 18 except Premium which is 21. Maximum age for all car groups is 70 yrs old. A fee of 40.00 EUR per rental inclusive of VAT applies to drivers aged 18-20 and 70+ age.

Intra-EU: A Cross-Border Fee of 40 EUR (VAT included) is applicable within EU countries (including Switzerland and the United Kingdom).

Non-EU: For Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo and every non-EU country (excluding Switzerland and the United Kingdom), a Cross-Border Fee of 60 EUR (VAT included) applies per hire.

If you are travelling through EU and non-EU countries (except Switzerland and the United Kingdom), both of the Cross-Border Fee charges are applicable. The green card covers the hire vehicle with basic insurance (T.P.I.) as long as it remains within the borders of the country for which it is issued.

In all cases, customers must inform the hire branch of their intention to leave the country with the vehicle and will require authorisation to do so. Unauthorised cross-border travel will result in a breach of contract and incur a penalty charge.

The Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is an optional service and reduces the renter's liability in the event of damage to the vehicle when no responsible third party is identified.
If CDW is not included in the reservation, it is available for purchase at the rental counter. If CDW is not included in the rental or CDW is declined, the renter will be liable for the total cost of damages to the vehicle or the full value of the vehicle in case of damage.
If purchased or included in the rental, the excess is:

900,00 EUR for the vehicle categories Mini and Economy;
1100,00 EUR for the vehicle category Compact;
1350,00 EUR – 2000,00 EUR for Intermediate and Standard vehicles;
2000,00 EUR - 3000,00 EUR for all Passenger Vans and all Commercial Vans;
and 2,500–5,500 EUR for all Premium and Luxury vehicles.

The excess will be charged every time a vehicle is damaged
Note! An excess will still be applicable for tyre- and windshield-related incidents. You can buy additional coverage for tyres and windshield, which also lowers your excess on those items to zero.

Delivery and Collection service up to 10 kilometers of city limits is free of charge. Delivery and Collection services outside of the 10 kilometer city limit radius will incur a service charge of 12.20 EUR, plus a per kilometer fee of 0.85 EUR. All fees quoted include VAT. One way rentals are available intra Slovenia and also from Slovenian rental offices to select International locations. Please contact our reservations department at +386 30208880 for additional information relative to available one-way routes and respective drop fee pricing. 

Refueling charges: Full to full. All vehicles are delivered with a full tank and must be returned in the same condition. In cases when the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank, the difference will be charged according to the official rate of Enterprise Rent-A-Car Slovenia. Fees for tank services also apply at a cost of 36.60 EUR inclusive of VAT.

SUPPLEMENTARY LIABILITY PROTECTION SLP - THIRD PARTY INSURANCE IS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT AND FREE OF CHARGE. IT PROTECTS THE RENTER - DRIVER AND OTHER AUTHORIZED DRIVERS AGAINST LIABILITY IN THE CASE OF THIRD PARTY BODILY INJURY OR DEATH AND THIRD PARTY PROPERTY DAMAGE. THIRD PARTY LIABILITY INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER LOSS OF, OR DAMAGE TO THE RENTAL VEHICLE. RENTER - DRIVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FULL VALUE OF THE VEHICLE REGARDLESS OF FAULT. SUBJECT TO ACCEPTANCE OF THE OPTIONAL INSURANCE OPTIONS.

During the winter season of 15 November to 15 March and in cases of inclement winter weather conditions in the country of Slovenia all rental vehicles are fitted with winter tires in accordance to local road laws. Winter tires are included in all rates.

Visa, Diners and Mastercard credit cards are accepted. All cards presented must be in the renter's name. A security deposit will be blocked on the credit card and the estimated cost of the rental will be charged at the time of pick-up. The deposit will be released by the cardholder's bank upon notification of the return of the vehicle.

4500.00 EUR for Premium Full-Size SUV and Luxury Elite SUV

Debit cards and cash cards are accepted as forms of payment for the rental or to purchase additional products. The deposit must be paid with a valid credit card. Please enquire at the local branch for details.

Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP) is an optional product to waive the renter's responsibility in case of a breakdown, and includes the following: Priority Towing Services and recovery and call-out charges imposed by our chosen roadside assistance providers as a result of a fault occurring to the vehicle due to the renter's error, Replacement Vehicle Delivery charges (in case the vehicle cannot be driven), replacement key delivery costs, charges in the event of empty battery, towing charges for misfuelling (repair charges for misfuelling will still be applicable to the renter and are not covered by RAP), loss of vehicle documents and/or licence plates.

RAP is not an insurance product; some damages will be excluded and the renter's conduct during the hire period may affect the protection available under RAP (see the Exclusions section).

Before purchasing RAP, you may wish to check if your personal coverage is adequate. If you decline RAP, you will be required to pay any applicable charges and, if possible, seek compensation from your carrier.

Valid IDP in Latin characters along with the National one or European Union driving license held for at least 12 months, identity card or passport.

Supplementary Liability Protection SLP - Third Party Insurance is a legal requirement and free of charge. It protects the renter/driver and other authorized drivers against liability in the case of third party bodily injury or death and third-party property damage. Third party liability insurance does not cover loss of or damage to the rental vehicle. Renter/Driver is responsible for the full value of the vehicle regardless of fault. (subject to the acceptance or inclusion of the optional insurance products).
