Sant Boi de Llobregat sits close to Barcelona's airport, port and coastline, a practical base once you're ready to press on with your journey by road. Enterprise offers car and van hire here, so you can set off toward the city, the coast or further afield whenever suits you.
Sant Boi de Llobregat is a busy suburban town in the Barcelona metropolitan area. It sits on the banks of the Llobregat river, in the Baix Llobregat district. Life here still carries traces of its agricultural past, most visible in the artichoke fields spreading toward the delta. The Baroque church of Sant Baldiri and the remains of a Roman bath house sit in the old quarter, giving the streets a settled, historic feel. Beyond the centre, the landscape opens into farmland and low hills. It is a reminder that Sant Boi works as a gateway as much as a destination in itself.
Having a car in Sant Boi makes it easy to reach the coast or the city on your own schedule. Enterprise's car hire options range from a straightforward automatic car for city driving to a roomier SUV. Either suits day trips to Sitges or further along the Garraf coastline. For visitors staying nearby, a car turns a fixed itinerary into something more flexible, whether that means a morning in Barcelona or an afternoon on Castelldefels beach.
Van hire, or vehicle rental more broadly, suits a different kind of trip. Families or groups travelling together often find a 7-seater or 9-seater people carrier more practical than two cars, especially with luggage for a longer stay. Local businesses and tradespeople passing through the Baix Llobregat also rely on a small van or large van for moving equipment and stock between towns. For bigger loads, a Luton van gives the extra space needed, without arranging multiple trips.
Barcelona is close enough for a half-day visit. Gaudí's Sagrada Família and Park Güell draw visitors year-round, alongside the narrow lanes of the Gothic Quarter and the seafront at Barceloneta. It's an easy drive by car, and having your own vehicle means leaving whenever suits you, rather than working around train times.
Montserrat is a striking detour for anyone with half a day to spare. The mountain monastery sits high above the surrounding plain, reached by a winding road with some of the best views in Catalonia. Walking trails wind around the mountain for those keen to stretch their legs, and it remains a popular stop for pilgrims and hikers alike.
Sitges makes for a relaxed contrast. It's known for its sandy beaches, palm-lined promenade and lively old town. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants for lunch before heading back inland, and it stays quieter outside the busiest summer months.
The Baix Llobregat blends industry, farmland and coastline within a short drive. It's a mix that's easy to underestimate from the motorway. From quiet delta paths to the hills rising toward Montserrat, much of it sits within reach of a single tank of fuel.

If unscheduled, this fee will be listed on your hire invoice.
If you purchase Excess Protection (EP) and have also purchased Damage Waiver, any applicable Damage Waiver excess will be reduced to zero on all vehicles. If you purchase EP but not DW, you will remain liable for all losses as a result of loss, theft or damage to the vehicle above the amount indicated in the Rental Agreement, up to the full market value of the vehicle.
